Shri Dushyant Deshpande, Director and Convener of the Vidarbha Defence Industries Association, addressing the gathering during the State Level Defence MSMEs Conclave organised jointly by YIL and FCCI on Enhancing Regional Capabilities through MSME Defence Cluster Development in Maharashtra, under Ministry of Defence Scheme for Promotion of MSMEs in Defence, held on January 31, 2024 at NADP Nagpur.
The Vidarbha Defence Industries Association (VDIA) has been instrumental in fostering local capabilities and strengthening MSME presence in the Vidarbha region. Through collaborative efforts and strategic initiatives, VDIA has facilitated the development of indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities, paving the way for economic growth and job creation.
By nurturing innovation and promoting Aerospace and Defence relevant skill training and development, VDIA is playing a pivotal role in positioning Vidarbha as a hub for MSMEs in the defence sector, thus contributing significantly to the region’s socio-economic advancement.
